Undercutting even my relatively low expectations for Mizzou's starter, they elected to go with Erik Dessau. Dessau is their mid-week starter who didn't often pitch on weekends. He last threw in the Big 12 tournament to finish out a game against Nebraska where Mizzou's was way down. He last started against Illinois in a mid-week game.
Five innings of good pitching, from," mid-week started!" Guess you guys should stop complaining about who the other team is not starting, and start looking for some offense????
M-I-Z Screw KU!!!!!!!
Faiz............How do you like the pitching now?????
Anonymous, instead of ducking behind your cover, you should consider posting your name. We don't bite.
I don't think I ever "complained" about mid-week starters being thrown against us. I would probably have done the same thing in their shoes, and I think I've argued that it has made sense each time. I was hoping it would backfire, but it didn't.
The Crimson offense had 15 hits and 6 runs today, not a pathetic showing by any standard. Our pitching and defense certainly didn't perform at the level that we hoped.
And lastly, I think all the teams in this bracket had outstanding talent. I don't think I ever disrespected them. Clearly, you bear a larger grudge against us than I do against any of the teams we faced this weekend.
I could care less about Harvard one way or the other, I'm a MIZZOU grad, who happens to have a relative (Danny Dorn) who plays for Cal State!! Which suck yesterday!! Looking at this site, you just seem to complain you get no respect, but after watching you play, do you really think you deserve it??
