Prayers for Steve Snyder

It has come to our attention that the student injured in a fall from Leverett Towers was in fact Steve Snyder '04-'08, a former Harvard baseball player who was on the roster for at least one season (2003, the righty pitcher's sophomore year).

Snyder has reportedly been improving since his fall Thursday, but is still hospitalized in serious condition. We wish Steve and his family the very best.

This is a tragedy I only hope the young man recovers. Why did he leave the team?

Don't know why he left, but I do remember that he missed at least one full season to injury...

I knew Steve very well. We grew up together. He is a wonderful person. I will be praying for him.

I had the chance to work with Steve and hang out with him. He was a phenomenal pitcher in high school, I think that he thre 92 mph fast balls. He injured his shoulder in his freshman year. I watched him rehab like a man posessed...he loved baseball. He is a great young man, I wish him well and I will be praying for him.

Steve passed away in Baltimore this April 2008. Our prayers are still for him and his family.
